Cool Starts with You! complements Cool Communities projects and programs already underway in many communities. The project can assist you to engage and mobilize your neighbors friends or parishioners to reach the goals of the US Mayors Climate Protection Agreement, as well as provide a model and generic tools for future outreach and relationship building activities at other neighborhoods across the state.

You or Your Cool Team agrees to host a neighborhood potluck party. (You might find that 2 people would like to co-host a party). We can provide:
- A project guide and training for you to host the party with back-up support or let us lead the party
- Guest invitations
- Discussion Book – a step by step guide to hosting an event with information about smart energy solutions to curb Global Warming
- Gallery walk/scavenger hunt and prizes,
- A Cool Neighborhood Kit filled with tools to save energy
- Follow up
We hope the event will inspire guests to host a similar event in their homes.
