On May 29, 2007, the Falmouth Town Council voted unanimously to sign the US Mayors’ Climate Protection Agreement. In early 2010, Falmouth‘s Green Ribbon Commission completed their climate action plan. It includes recommendations to Town Council on action steps to reduce the town’s global warming and energy emissions through clean energy solutions.
The town has already taken action with the purchase of several Prius’, a LEED-certified green police station, photovoltaic panels on the high school, and geothermal heating for the new elementary school.
