Maine Partners for Cool Communities

During the summer of 2008, a Colby College intern audited municipal building energy use and performed a greenhouse gas analysis for the entire community. Fairfield town government is in discussions with performance contracting companies to perform equipment retrofits in city buildings. The Town of Fairfield also helped organize the January 2020 Catalyst meeting which brought together representatives from governments, institutions, non-profits, businesses, and communities to develop a sustainability vision for the Mid-Maine area. Fairfield is continuing to support the efforts of the Mid-Maine Sustainability Coalition, the group tasked with acting on the goals outlined during the January 2020 Catalyst meeting.
